Champagne lake - Tips

Welcome to Champagne lake an exceptional lake on Majestic Carp’s books. This lake promises you a great compromise on regular catches and a chance to beat your PB. Nothing is a give-away, though; you will have to use some clever strategies to catch the biggest fish.

Each angler has his/her preferences with regard to bait but we have had good feedback on the use of the Redacy, The Golden Truffle and The Krakoon boilies from the Hexabaits range, which you can find here.

Meaty and spicy baits are effective all year round, but a fruity touch to your bait could well make the difference, especially in the warmer months. The important thing is to be discreet in your bait placement and in setting up your tackle. Floating or semi-floating baits such as poppup or wafters can help you get the most out of your bait.

For the baiting, be as precise as possible with either the use of PVA or the bait boat. In any case, start with small amounts of bait. Pellet and particle mixes work very well. If you can add some micro-seed, like hemp-seed or something else, then you will be even more efficicent.

Hot spot

On the floating cottage swim, the edge near the water lilies can give you a lot of action. On the other edge, you will find a submerged tree which should not be overlooked either. On all the other spots, lake-edge angling is particularly effective, contrary to fishing in the open water, which is more random. It is up to you to find the last secrets of champagne lake
