Baits

Each angler has his/her preferences with regard to bait but we have had good feedback on the use of the Redacy, Golden Truffle and Power Nuts boilies from the Hexabaits range which you can find here.

The important thing in Foye main is not the quantity of bait but rather the quality. The choice of the brand is not important as long as you have a quality bait. Do not hesitate to increase the diameter of your boilies, minimum 20 and more. In the cooler periods, a smaller diameter and poppups or wafter can make a difference.

Baiting

Use a limited quantity of bait with particles (well cooked!) and some boilies. The important thing is to find out where the carp are feeding and moving. The amount of bait will not be a key factor on Foye Main. It will always be necessary to proceed in a discreet way because the place is very wild and the carp are accustomed to the calm.

Hot spot

The owner will be happy to explain all the interesting areas direct on site; the edges are not to be neglected and you will have to find the hardest areas. Be observant to detect carp activity as this will be a key element of your success. Depositing and prospecting in a bait-boat will be a real asset.
