Welcome to La Plaine, an exceptional lake on Majestic Carp’s books. This lake promises you a great compromise on regular catches and a chance to beat your PB. Nothing is a give-away, though; you will have to use some clever strategies to catch the biggest fish.
Each angler has his/her preferences with regard to bait but we have had good feedback on the use of the Redacy, Octo Peach and Power Nuts boilies from the Hexabaits range which you can find here.
A few tiger nuts can make a difference. Don’t get too excited about the bait but rather about the presentation. Look for the right areas where the fish are most active. Rigs which use popus, fake corn, or wafters work very well.
Here you will need to carry out a light and precise priming. The use of PVA or a primer boat can be an advantage. If you have a series of strikes, do not hesitate to bait continuously to maintain the activity of the fish. The particles work very well and will act quickly. If the starts slow down, the fish may have moved, so continue to use the same baiting strategy.
Find hard plateaus and place your bait there. The results will be quick. In calmer periods, do not neglect the muddier areas. Borders are interesting areas on the plain, but take care where you leave your mountings because some areas are cluttered and you could lose your tackle end there. Don’t hesitate to use the boats or your bait boat for the most sensitive areas.
A security deposit of 200€ per log cabin will be required for the use of the log cabins. This will be returned to you after your departure if you leave the premises as you found them.
