Myself and the wife visited here 5th September 2026 for the first time, it did not disappoint.
The facilities are excellent, the lake itself and swims are all done to a very high standard.
The fishing this week was tough going due to a sudden change in weather (cold front).
I was only fishing now and then as we were leaving the lake often to sight see, I managed a 41 lb mirror and a 32 lb common.
I highly recommend the venue, and we hope to return.
The owner Jean-Philippe is a gentleman.
Shhh please don’t share this, we’ve fished Legendia Carp the last 4 seasons, which should in itself say what a fantastic venue this is, we’ve caught some amazing fish including Casper, Thor, Ronnie and luckily The Hulk, the Catfish has also started. But let me tell you about Loki what a stunning Carp this fish weighed in at 47lbs 11oz if you want a real fighting Carp with power and attitude this one comes up there, he will fight you every step of the way, including releasing back. Definitely one we’ll remember. He was caught on J.P’s new bait for season 2026 Scopex Squid 9 Carp were caught using this, so thank you J.P and see you on the bank next year.
Had a beautiful stay at Legendia for 1 week. Facilities and surroundings were amazing. One of my own alarms managed to pack in and owner was able to sort me with a replacement straight away, he was always more than helpful with any queries and really couldn’t fault anything at all about it. 8 fish were had in all with 2 of them being the A team which happened to fall in the first 12 hrs plus very hard fighting fish, thanks for an amazing trip
We stayed for a week at the Lagendia Carp Lake, 4 Anglers 3 non, great location, near to all amenities and the beach is ten minutes away, amazing looking fish, caught 27 in total the biggest 491b, the accommodation is perfect every thing you need for family’s and swims are not too far to get to when you want to join the anglers, the host Jean- Philppe was very helpful was there to meat us and sadly waved us goodbye on the last day but always on hand when needed thank you , would definitely visit again to catch the big one thank you again for an amazing week 5 stars 🤩 from us.
This was our first trip to France and what an experience. Our PB’s before the trip were 17lb and 27lb which were smashed with new PB’s of 42lb and 49lb. The accommodation was great and a nice place to relax in between catching some amazing carp. There was a town and supermarket within a 10 minute drive which was handy. We would recommend Legendia Carp to anybody looking for a trip to France and we will definitely be coming back!
A new venue for myself and my partner, we like to have a nice lodge/accommodation and this was amazing, everything you need and clean, couple of low 40’s and a fair few 30’s, we re booked straight away it was that good
So once again, it all started with an early start heading to Folkestone for Le Shuttle to Calais, ready for a week’s fishing at Legendia Carp, France 🇫🇷, found through Majestic Carp. The journey went smoothly and we were buzzing to get our first session going – time to fish, relax and enjoy nature.
The venue was brilliant – a beautiful 2-acre lake in a peaceful area, with everything you’d want: a comfy lodge, bivvies on every swim with electricity and wifi, a social area, kids’ forest, and even a football pitch. The owners were super helpful and always around if needed.
We knew it wouldn’t be an easy trip in terms of numbers, but we were up for the challenge. After a few classic golden moments, I had a surprise take on the first night – a lovely 28lb Common. A couple of days later, I landed a 37.4lb Mirror, then early the next morning Charlie Kelly smashed it with Thor, one of the A-Team, at 52.1lb.
The action slowed down again, but just as we were about to reset the rods, I had a stunning 42.8lb Mirror from the same spot. On the final morning, Charlie hit again with another A-Team fish, Excalibur, at 49.2lb.
All fish were immaculate, hard-fighting, and worth every second. The whole trip was amazing from start to finish – we loved it and hope to return to catch more of those legendary fish.

As mentioned by other reviews the Carp are exceptional, the venue so stunning & completely detoxing, until that alarm goes….. I was lucky enough to catch a stunning rarely seen Common at 39lbs, which J.P gave me the honor of naming, not my largest Carp caught there but definitely a moment I’ll never forget, one to look out for in the future as he grows.
So now the Negatives : your time at Legendia Carp will fly past, you’ll want to return! Which makes booking essential, and finally you pull out of the magical venue taking your memories with you & looking forward to returning…..
Fished Legendia first week in April. As others have said, the facilities are very good, very clean and a very nice place to cook and have dinner overlooking the lake! The fishing was difficult, temperatures from zero to upper teens, plus some rain amongst a very high pressure. Although a small lake, you do need to have a good think about your approach, there are many holes and bars and it’s definitely worth spending time on arrival with your marker rod and have a good feel around. Although the fishing was tricky, we still managed 9 fish up to 48.8, and all were in spotless condition. Jean-Philippe is the owner and also the guy that runs Majestic Carp and I can’t sing his praises enough. There to welcome, then leaves you to it with the odd popping in to see how you’re getting on. I’ve since booked 2 more trips this year through Majestic, and I’d fully recommend.

Another fantastic trip to probably my favourite fishing venue in France . The facilities are absolutely top notch , you will not want for anything , everything is there .
We had a difficult week fishing with a couple of nights going down to near zero , and day time temps all over the place .
But we worked hard at it and it paid off as we both managed to bank some lovely fish my biggest being the Mutant 2 . ( I caught Mutant 1 last time )
Pleased to say between us fish were coming from different spots around the lake and not holding up in one place . Do not ignore the open water , if you see a fish show get your bait on it , give it time it will go 😁👊🏻
Jean Philipe is the nicest guy and most helpful lake owner we have ever encountered and we have been fishing in France for over 30 years !
Majestic carp is a credit to him , cannot wait for a return trip here !

The whole group caught magnificent specimens with a few unexpected bonuses thrown in, 2 20lb+ Pike and a 2 hour battle with the big catfish which I will never forget. The whole experience is made extra special by Pete who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great time! Best bailiff & chef in the world and more importantly a friend for life!
Just returned from the most amazing week at Carpinvasion!
Firstly the bungalow is very spacious, clean, well equipped & has very comfortable beds! the lake itself contains some truly stunning fish! this being said the best part is Pete (on site bailiff) and his little family (cats, goose, chickens, ducks….and fluffy the cockerel) which makes this unique in every way, even at 3am in the pouring rain Pete is happy to don the bank in his dressing gown to help in a difficult situation! Simply amazing, if you are considering Carpinvasion then I’m sure you will love it!!!
CarpInvasion is simply the most fantastic place to fish for carp in France. We have now been 3 times and every visit has been excellent. The fishing, accommodation and assistance and great management of the venue by Pete and Loz is second to none.
Pete’s knowledge and advice has ensured I caught more carp.
Loz always looks after the venue and keeps it to the highest standard.
The accommodation is excellent, very comfortable with good facilities.
The carp are in excellent condition and Pete insists us anglers treat them with every care and respect.
The whole place is just idyllic. As I drive through the gate shrivels always run down my spine.
We cannot wait to return
Beautiful little 2 acre lake just outside cherbourg,4 well kept swims there is a bungalow that u can use night and day completely kitted out 3bedrooms lovely bathroom and shower.cracking carp 4x50s loads of 40s and30s and one cat fish at a 100 lb+ the food package was amazing,but for us what made our week was the bailiff Peter what a top man and a great cook brilliant sense of humour nothing was to much trouble he knows his lake inside out always there to help loads of bait on site + end tackle Pete thanks for a great week u are one of the nicest blokes we ever met we will see you next year bud take care mate.
