Nestled in tranquil and picturesque countryside, this 6-acre quarry is divided into two inviting swims:
• Swim 1: Designed for 2 anglers with 3 rods each, this swim provides access to stone-bottomed depths as well as the edges and middle of the lake, offering diverse fishing opportunities.
• Swim 2: Anchored in the middle of the lake is a floating chalet, accommodating 2 anglers along with 1 or 2 non-anglers. The chalet boasts 26m2 of living space and a generous 16m2 terrace/patio. A convenient boat is at your disposal for reaching the chalet and setting your lines. Along the bank, a pontoon provides a secure spot to stow your equipment on and off the boat, with life jackets supplied and conveniently located within the chalet.
The strategic location of the chalet, surrounded by water, allows for open-water fishing (depth between 1m and 2.5m) and along the lake edge. Notably, water lilies in the recess on the right create an enticing hiding spot for fish throughout the year, adding an extra layer of intrigue to your angling experience.

Florian was very helpful and the facilities were exactly what we needed.
The fishing was unbelievable with 88 carp between the two of us and 10 of them being over 40lbs up to 49.12lb.
This was beyond anything we expected to catch and had the best time.

August 27, 2026 at 7:17 amWe went to champagne lakes as a family of 5. 3 of us fishing, myself,son and farther. Absolute fantastic week of fishing. We managed to land 48 carp in total ranging from a small amount of 20s a generous amount of 30s plus a good head of 40s finished of with a 50lb beast. Absolute fantastic venue. Florine and his farther was very helpful and was always there when we needed more bait exc. 💯 will be revisiting 🎣🎣🎣

The place is beautiful, quiet and comfy!
We caught 26 fish in total ,biggest 43 lb mirror.

May 19, 2026 at 8:21 amAnother amazing week at Champagne lake. Over 55 fish caught between 3 anglers including 10 over 40lb, biggest being just over 45lb. At least 30 other fish all over the 30lb mark too so average weight was impressive. The margins are the place to catch and the closer you dare get to some of the snags the bigger the reward. Fish tight but be alert! You have to be quick to get them away from the snags. I fished from the cabin and had 22 fish myself. The Lillie’s are prime spots but do use the boat to get out to them. Much easier to free them from the Lillie pads that they instinctively swim into when hooked from the boat not to mention the boat battles are epic. These fish fight hard. Be prepared for for some 20 minute boat battles with these amazing carp.

April 8, 2026 at 11:13 amFantastic week at champagne lake (28/3 – 4/4) my second time here and will be back again! Facilities are great and the floating cabin makes the trip that extra bit special. Florian is a great host and always on hand for advice or to help out. We had 26 carp with two 40’s to 48lb the majority of the rest were 30’s with a few upper 20’s and a 30lb grassy. Fishing is fantastic from both the cabin and the beach swim so recommend fishing from both for consistent action! Can’t recommend this lake enough

June 16, 2025 at 10:12 amwhat a great venue florian the owner was also very helpful I would suggest each angler takes at least 10 ltrs of water as the water on site is not drinkable, over the week we caught 8 carp ranging from 27lb 4×36 pluse plus 2 forties we will definitely be going back

June 3, 2025 at 12:36 pmHi just back from another great week at this wonderful lake . It was our second year at the lake as we enjoyed it so much the previous year. The owner florian is top quality as he is so easy going. He turns up makes sure your OK and leaves you to it while leaving his number to message if you need him and I liked this . We had 13 fish for the week including 3 40s and 2 grass carp to 34lb. Lovely quiet area and a supermarket 10 mins away. Will be looking to come back for a 3rd year.
