With an area of 60 acres, and its elongated form, almost in the shape of a river, it allows fishing from a reasonable distance. Above all you will find many areas of water lily, an ideal refuge for carp. On the lake you will find 15 fishing swims, all located on the same bank and spaced out for optimum tranquility.
The depth varies very little, being about 1.8 metres for the most part, with some areas at 3 metres. The bottom is largely mud with some firmer areas. The castle bordering the lake is full of history and has suffered many destructions during the wars which have traversed French history; King Louis XI was known to have visited this castle. Today, the castle is in ruins but it represents all the richness of French heritage. Being able to fish carp with this castle as a backdrop is a real privilege.
