DEPOSIT
You will be required to pay a damage-deposit on your arrival, which will be returned to you when you leave, according to the condition in which you leave your swim/s and surroundings.
This deposit will be kept if we have reason to exclude you from the domain or in the case of rubbish left at the swim/s, or the swim/s not being kept properly clean and tidy.
The deposit is; 50 euros for bivvy and cabin swims and 200 euros for the VIP swims and when booking exclusively.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Angling swims must be kept clean. Each angler is responsible for his/her own rubbish. Rubbish bags (full/part-filled) must be kept inside the fishing shelter and must not be visible to any of the swims.
No rubbish to be thrown on the floor or in the lake, including cigarette stubs.
All rubbish must be taken away with you when you leave. There are no containers on site; however there is a communal container for glass very near the lake.
SHOWERS AND TOILET FACILITIES
Shower, toilets and washbasins are available 24/7. Please keep them clean and take care how much water you use with respect to others.
DOGS/PETS
1 dog per angler is tolerated as long as it does not create any kind of nuisance for other anglers (barking, aggression). Dogs must be kept leashed and under your surveillance at all times.
Strictly forbidden for dogs to swim in the lakes. EXCREMENT MUST BE CLEANED UP.
VEHICLES
Vehicles are allowed at swims for unloading and loading your equipment on arrival and departure; take care not to disturb other anglers. Maximum speed limit on site is 20KM per hour (12 miles per hour). Maximum unloading/loading time is 30 minutes. All vehicles not in process of unloading/loading must be parked on the designated areas.
STRICTLY FORBIDDEN TO PARK AT THE SWIMS.
Trailers will be allowed on the swims for the duration of your stay.
Vehicles are strictly forbidden on the peninsula; there will be some sort of trolley available for your use.
ARRIVAL AND LEAVING TIMES AT SWIMS/CHANGING SWIM/S
Take up swims between 12.30 and 18.00; leave swims between 09.00 and 11.30am.
It’s possible to change swims during the night, according to availability and on request to the manager.
Grain bait must be thoroughly cooked, above all the tiger nuts. Use of lupins, peanuts, hazel nuts is strictly forbidden. This will be checked.
Radio controlled boats and drones are allowed.
Fishing zones must be utterly respected, on pain of exclusion.
Bait boats allowed but not motorised or rowing boats UNLESS you have exclusively booked one or both parts of Fontenay; then you must only use them during the day, always wearing life vest.
Unused or perished baits must not be thrown in the lake or on the banks!
FISHING
Three or four rods per angler (depending on the option chosen)
No bait on a carp hook in direct, fishing on hair is mandatory. All vegetable and synthetic baits are allowed on hair. Maggots and worms are only allowed on hair, other animal baits are not allowed.
Only one single hook is allowed per line, barbless hooks are mandatory, size 4 maximum for carp. (COMPLETELY crushed barb tolerated).
Bare braid forbidden on the body of the line, the head of the line and the leader of the line. Covered braid and combi rig tolerated on the leader.
Lead core tolerated with a maximum length of 50 centimeters.
Nylons of less than 28/100 or more than 42/100 (except for the leader) are forbidden.
Only rigs that allow easy release of the lead in case of breakage are allowed. Blocked rigs are strictly forbidden.
Large fine mesh landing net with a minimum opening of 90cm and rigid frame weighing bag are mandatory.
Disinfection products such as Carp'clinic, methylene blue or Betadine gel are mandatory in case of injury to the fish.
XL size landing mat is mandatory. The minimum accepted size of the landing mat (always wet) is 1,00m x 0,70m. The photo session must be done on your knees.
In order to avoid theft and to ensure a follow-up of the magnification, the fish are equipped with electronic micro-chips. A reader will be given to you at your arrival. At each catch, you will be asked to pass the reader in front of the fish and to note the information on the catch grid provided. If the reader does not read any information and the fish is a carp, a grass carp or a sturgeon weighing more than 6 kg, contact the warden by phone so that he can come and register the fish.
Each catfish caught will have to be preserved (conservation bag or rope) while waiting for the guard who will come to recover them to put them in a special basin.
Only floating conservation bags are authorized and only to put an unchipped fish or a damaged fish that needs to be put in an infirmary, while waiting for the guard to come.
It is strictly forbidden to put the sturgeon in the net (take them by the tail), their column would not resist to it, they must be handled with the greatest care and the photos must be taken preferably in the water in order to limit the time out of water. Large fish over 1.5 meters should not be taken out of the water.
