Lake
Heritage Mystery is a mature gravel pit that has been developing naturally for more than 50 years. The lake offers around 15 acres of water surrounded by quiet countryside, providing plenty of space while retaining the character and intimacy of a relatively compact venue.
Depths generally range from around 6.5 to 10 feet, with a varied lakebed made up of silt, firm sand and gravel areas. Weed is minimal, making the lake pleasant to fish, while changes in depth and bottom composition create plenty of interesting areas for anglers to explore.
The water also benefits from an excellent natural food supply. Crayfish, mussels and other freshwater shellfish are present in good numbers, providing the carp with a rich source of natural nutrition throughout the year.
Depending on the swim, anglers can fish conventionally from the bank, use a bait boat or take to the water by boat when appropriate. All fishing areas can be accessed by car, making arrival and setting up particularly straightforward.
There is a mixture of single, double and larger group swims around the lake, together with the VIP Chalet Swim. For groups who want the venue completely to themselves, the whole lake can also be reserved exclusively for up to 10 anglers.
