Lake
This 6-acre lake, available only on exclusive hire (5 anglers max), was dug out about 40 years ago as a quarry. The bottoms are clean and hard for the most part. There are two, large, gravel areas on the lake, with an average depth of 1m20 for the first and 2m for the second.
You will also find some muddy areas, which may be home to some stunning fish. The maximum depth of the lake is about 2m50. The 5 swims (on the same bank) allow you to prospect the entire lake without difficulty.
A boat with life jacket is available for hire (10€/day or 20€/day with motor and battery).

September 6, 2023 at 7:54 amReally enjoyed our trip to Noute – August 26th to September 2nd. Fabrice and Laura are great hosts and were happy to help, or leave us to it if we wished. Fishing was tricky for us but we managed 17 carp to the net (4 anglers fishing hard day and night.) Most bites came through the hours of darkness with peg 1 doing the most bites this week. We had 2 fish over 40lb. 5 fish over 30lb. 6 20lb+ and the rest doubles. Very long range spots (140yds) for pegs 2 and 3 require a bait boat to fish the far margin due to both the distance and the overhanging trees. The fish caught were very clean and fought hard.
Road noise was not an issue for us but be aware that there is a fair amount of traffic, especially early morning. There is a healthy population of rats at the lake but, again, we were not overly bothered.
Noute is a lovely lake with some cracking carp and a friendly welcome.

September 7, 2023 at 5:05 pmWell done bud! Great fishing. We were there the week after and kind of struggled. We had 17 between 4 for the week. Mostly night bites and couldn’t get anything going through the day time. Just wondering if you fished the far margins and used Just boiles or particle? Be nice to hear back from yer.
