Hello Majestic carp,
We had a verry nice stay again at noir fontaine.
It was like coming home😀
A big compliment to the staf from Lakdar
They had everything well under control; everything was freshly mown, the clubhouse was already clean
The fishing conditions were verry tough, with temperatures till 38 degrees
There was a big different between the right and the left side
But overal we all catched fisch
We got 7 above 20 kilo,mision complete😇
We cannot wait to come back!!!
We booked island lake and noir Fontaine first week of June 26 as there were 10 anglers although we didn’t have great numbers of fish we did manage 3 @ 40lbers to 48-1/2 lb several grass carp too 40 lb also our timing was bad as both waters were either spawning or just finished spawning . The facilities were ideal for our party of ten everything worked plenty of freezer/ fridge space Lakdar was a nice guy and his work buddy they left us to it and popped in a couple times to take away rubbish . We all said we would be back in the future to give it another go
All together we caught 14 fish above 20kg and the final number was 86fish (not including the zander, bream and orfe) 🤣
We had a great time and we’ll be back next year 🎣
We had a nice week with some beautiful catches. Fishing was difficult due to the low water level and the cold rainy weather. We ended up having 38 fish with 6 fishermen
A bit late but hete it is
It was a verry hot week til 36 degrees
The first days was difficult, with a couple off runs, but after 4 days, at the hottest day🙄there came more and it started running
We caught arround 75 carp, the bigest 21kilo,20kilo,19,8kilo and a grascarp of 20 kilo
We had a great time again and cannot wait to come back
Greetings
I spent 7 long nights at this lake, my fellow fishermen were landing more fish then captain bird’s-eye, unfortunately for me, even though I’m one if the greatest if all time, I failed to catch anything in the entirety of my time here. The facilities was perfect , as was the conditions, things just didn’t go my way, this has been the story of my life. I fish every week atleast one night a week, this year so far I have caught 3 fish and were in December.
Just wanted to say thanks for letting us fish your lake, we all had a great time and caught some great fish. We had around 98 fish in total across the week with the biggest being 43lb🎣 few lovely Koi fish also👌
Me and my mate Tom enjoyed netting the lake was a good experience so thank you for giving us the opportunity.
Good luck with your experiments, will be back again next year to try your other lake.
Did you fish this lake? I intrigued to find more info, there hasnt been a catch report this year which is worrying. The referring to netting the lake makes me think people havent been fishing it.
Last week we stayed at the domain of Noir Fontaine. Once we arrived and installed ourselves on the swims, we had a difficult start. The bites were mostly absent until the last 2 days, which is why we ended up with a total of 34 carp. We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful surroundings/wildlife.
Last week I fished three night on Noir Fontaine. First day’s the fishing was hard, spawning fish during night and morning. The last night everthing came together, the wind was changing and in 7 hours I caught 6 more fish. Total of 10. Best fishes 18 kg and 19,8 kg commons! I love it!
25/5-01/6
Had a good week with different weather. Started with sun and nice temperatures. Caught very well. After the weather changed and the catch was a little bit harder. After all with 2 persons we caught 43 fishes, biggest 21 kg. So we had a great week
It’s been another brilliant week abroad with my best mates,51 fish in total for 6 of us,we all had very nice fish up to 46lb,I had bigger fish in my life but fish in this lake was like truck,so so powerful. Thanks boys for another amazing week with all of you💪💥🥳🤩😘❤️🥃🔥Special thanks for Marcin for your hand made trophy,my bro Michał Welzant for outstanding named t-shirt’s and well done to Kamil for most fish
Hi we had a great time and managed 36 fish between us most were 20-35 with a couple of 40lb fish and one at 60.12 the facilities were fine and the owner was a lovely guy, the fish in the lake were in great condition.
Noir Fontaine October 14th – 21st, 5 Anglers. Swims 2,3,4
Fishing – Very slow start to the week due to the cold weather front pushing in. When the storm and rain come fishing picked up. We had a total of 59 fish, 54 of which were carp. Fishing the far margins provided the most fish but the smaller ones. The 40’s and 50 we had seem to come from the middle of a big baited area. The average weight being 25lb. See below catch report.

Facilities – The facilities are very basic, The shower head needs replacing, all the water from the shower runs through to the toilet. No gas for the cooker or stove.
The owner is a nice chap, not a fisherman his self so unable to point us in a few directions.
Recommendations –
– Take rodent killer, plenty of them about and few bivvy’s got chewed through
– Take toilet roll none provided
– Club house needs catch report as information is hard to find.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some good action of hard fighting fish.
Fishing was really good and the bloke was very friendly and pleasant. The club house was very basic and needs a really good clean and some much needed maintenance. It also needs a catch report book in the clubhouse, as information on this lake is so hard to find. The fish themselves are in such good condition, its a credit to the owner and all the anglers that have fished there previously. We had over 50 fish between 6 anglers with the biggest a 57.6lb mirror and 4 anglers walking away with new PB’s so a good trip for all
Noir Fontaine 02/09/2023
Noir Fontaine lies in a remote area of north east France, it is away from busy roads and towns it is free from noise and light pollution.
The lake is approx. 350yds long by 130yds wide and apporx 3 ½ ft deep (normally 4 ½ ft). The bottom is clear with little or no weed, no snags other than the obvious overhanging bushes.
The roadside pegs are large and clear with parking directly behind the peg.
The fish stock is excellent, hard fighting Commons, Mirrors and Grass Carp almost all perfect mint condition. The fish showed well rolling, crashing out and bubbling particularly at dawn and dusk.
Although the conditions were far from favourable, extreme heat and high pressure, our group, 3 anglers, had a brilliant week, we fished from pegs 2, 3 & 4, most of the fish came from the far margin.
We caught steadily from the start, catching 89 carp between us the best being a stunning 56lb mirror with many 40s and big 30s backing up the haul. Approx. 25% were grass carp but this was probably due the extreme heat favouring the grassies.
We all fished from the road side which is ideal for 4 anglers, the far side pegs are overgrown with no access by car.
The roadside pegs have large concrete slabs at the water’s edge, I’d strongly recommend bringing rubber mats for the rods and knee pads.
The facilities are very basic but the toilet and shower were clean and worked well. The cabin has good clean water a chest freezer, fridge a small electric oven.
The owner is an affable chap, a fish farmer and university Don, he was happy answer questions on all aspects of fish life and nutrition.
In conclusion a good venue we would return to but a little better prepared.
Good evening a little catch report from my recent trip to the noir frontain complex . As I didn’t see many before we went .and I was a little hesitant as to what we would find the fishing to be like .
We had an amazing weeks fishing with around 135 carp caught the biggest being 47lb with 8 fish going over 40lb most fish was mid 30s only around 15 fish was under 30lb the grass carp where crazy we had two of those over 40lb also . At times we had triple takes highly recommended
The owner was a really nice guy that called to see us every few days .
Had a good trip with 4 of us. But the lake is shallow one end about 2 feet so this end of the lake didn’t fish well at this time of year. 3 of us breaking our PBs

Think there was 4 x40s with 1 angler breaking his pb 3 times
Wasn’t an easy trip with water shallow on 1 side but when the sun came out with temps of 30 degrees I new where to trap them
