arrived mid spawn so very difficult fishing and we struggled .Decent place Fabrice and Laura are excellent and helpful.Lake suffers from quite a bit of detritus round the margins off trees .Would benefit from some attention year end .Be aware there are some metal poles sticking up off the lakebed some marked some not .Fish lost as a result ,Rabrice is aware but removal over winter would be a great asset.Despite the slow fishinh already planning a return.
Facilities were good and so where the hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The lake is lovely and scenic. I am unsure of the fish stock as we had 18 carp and only one 30, average size was 22lb. We didn’t see any fish show, jump or hear any that may of been bigger during the week. There was a swan on the lake that caused issues and meant it wasn’t an option to fish shallow. By the end of the week it would follow a bait boat when trying to put baits out. Would recommend a darker boilie to help avoid this. Overall the fishing was pretty stroght forward but was hindered by the swan. We did also get tench and one that looked to be near double figures
all in all was a good trip, Fabrice and Laura was fantastic hosts very helpful and just let us get on with wot we had to do, couldn’t fault them at all, as for the weather it wasn’t great with a lot of rain, the carp wasn’t playing ball and were not feeding at all, we managed a couple of fish biggest being 35lb, returning next April for another go and hopefully have a lot more fish out. Lovely complex and well looked after. Great facilities clean and tidy 👍🏼
