Pesnel is a lovely looking venue. Facilities are good. No running water is not an issue as just bring your own. Shower, toilet and cooking including 2x fridge freezers. Fishing for our week. Sept 14-21 was very slow. All fish came from peg 1 and 7. Lake is shallow so be prepared ( 3ft about average) peg 4 ( deepest area up to 7ft by outlet). Down side is the vast areas that you cannot access which is the area to right of peg seven which is not shown on the map , the island has since been cut away and the fish can effectively hide away , the central pond , either side of the 2 arms , which is unfishable except from peg 7 but only toward the small cut thru. The main body of the lake caught approx 7 small carp under 5lbs , 1 sturgeon caught 6 times 🤷🏼‍♂️🙈. A giant 90lb silver carp from peg 5. Peg 1 had 3 x 37lb carp , grass carp 1x 40 and a few doubles. Peg 7 2 x 24,29lb commons and 3 small carp. For 10 anglers. ( aerial view of lake by drone available if requested).

We had a very wet week which affected the fishing no carp until Tuesday improved through the week mirrors up to 47 lb commons up 32 lb grass carp up to 43 lb a warm welcome from the owner Mickaël . Shower was good but could have benefited from drinking water on-site . But overall an enjoyable weeks fishing 😃
