Loved our week at lake rotier, it ticked all the boxes, something for every1, the younger boys loved the games room, us ladies loved the pool & tennis courts, everything was immaculate, the beds were comfortable, the hosts went above & beyond…
As for the fishing, some beautiful fish, had several carp between 30-35lb biggest 2 fish out were 38lb.
We will definitely be going back
We had an amazing time, lake Rotiere exceeded all our expectations, the kids loved the swimming pool and tennis courts, the games room hot plenty of use in the evening & the lake fished superbly well, all 4 of us got our PB’s with the biggest being a 38lb grass carp, there was even a few catfish come up up to 52lb.
We had 54 fish in total only fishing half and 3 quarter days , we didn’t do any nights, there were lots of mid twenties and we had 12 in the 30’s.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great fishing experience with the family.
This is our 3rd time. Great hosts, great venue, fishing is excellent!

The house was beautiful and perfect had everything we needed in it. The owners were lovely and took us on a tour of the grounds.
The lake was beautiful and even better as we had exclusive use of it. My 13year old son caught his PBs and 2 other anglers caught there PBs so a fab week all round.

Pascal & Amel have been lovely hosts. Pascal showed Toby (14 year old Angler) the lakes upon arrival & also showed him all the equipment we had hired, which was very useful.
Toby caught fish between 20-40lb during day & night fishing.
The accommodation is amazing & you really do not need to venture out, as it has a pool for relaxation. I also a games room, with lots of various things to keep you entertained.
We did however visit a local restaurant Le Pinocchio, which was warm, friendly & nice food.
Thank you again & we will look forward to returning.
Really lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. We had everything you could possibly need for two families and we all had a fantastic time.
Lots of fish caught, the biggest being 33lbs! The pool is a great place to relax by although the horse flies kept us busy! Top tip for keeping horse flies away, raw garlic chopped & kept beside you.
The zoo is the best we’ve ever been to, an amazing selection of animals & so well kept & fed. We would also recommend a visit to Château Cheverny, the gardens are beautiful!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Rotier.Weather was very hot ,so I fished late afternoons until midnight most days.Managed to catch 17 carp up to 35lbs.Most of those came from the margin area,and I caught only three from my open water spot about 60yards out.I had to step up my gear to manage the cats!After changing to 20lb mono I managed to land a few of these beasts ,up to about 70lb.All but a few fell to boilies, but I did manage a few smaller carp on float fished maize also. Thanks to Amel and Pascal for the nice lunch and great tennis!Special place,only negative is the road which can get a bit noisy at times.
Went to Rotier during the first week in July with my wife and two grown up boys, (in their 20’s). Welcome was very friendly, and everything is made clear before a ‘safari’ around the extensive grounds. Gite was large and spacious, although bathrooms were on the dated/small side. Overall though, it had everything we needed, and the pool table proved a hit. The heated, salt water pool was lovely and used a lot as it was very warm.
I didn’t fish 24/7, and only a few hours in the morning and afternoon/evening with 2 overnights. I caught 20 fish up to 38lbs, and amongst these were a number of small catfish, which was slightly annoying. (sub 3lb’s) There are a lot of cats in the lake, and they like boilies, (I had cats up to 42lbs and lost a much larger one that took me around the lake!) Even after switching away from fishmeal baits, they still persisted, so if you like cats, then this lake is a good option. The fishing was still enjoyable although not totally tranquil with the national road literally on one bank.
The family really enjoyed the week, and that is a big tick for me.

We had carp to 34lbs, grass carp to 31lbs , Catfish 85lbs and even a koi carp. All the family had a fish at some point!! The lodge is superb and very comfortable, great pool also. Ease access to all the shops you need. Highly recommend for a relaxing family holiday.

Fantastic stay, we have loved every minute staying at this lodge. Great facilities ; lake, pool, tennis, and much more. Perfect place which caters for everyone of all ages.

We had a fabulous week lazing by the pool, walking the woods trying to find the wild boar ! We did spot the deer though ! The views from the house are gorgeous even than the diggers were here all week building the road down to the lake.
It’s a perfect place for kids to have fun and grown ups to relax. The house is so well equipted and the air con. work a treat. Many thanks
We have a brilliant holiday deffintely come back again. The accommodation and fishing was first class. We had 13 fish : a 91 lb 3oz catfish being the biggest. The garlic boilies doing the business. All the kids had a brilliant time what a wonderful holiday
Lovely place really well equiped. Beautiful warm pool, lovely greeting, lovely family. Well kept fish as the fish all in great condition. Bass fishing was awesone : couple of spinners down the edge catch bass all day. Beautiful Complex. Thank you
Great week from 15 to 22 April 2017.
Exceptional setting and environment, the owner is very nice and welcoming. Due to the negative temperatures the fishing was difficult but the big fish are well present. The only drawback is the national road too close to the lake, which spoils the morning peace and quiet… heated swimming pool, table tennis, tennis courts, table football, billiards…etc. Everything is there and it’s hard to get bored.
I loved this beautiful week and I will return with great pleasure and especially very quickly.

A mixed bag of fishing this last week.
First Sturgeon, first Catfish, first Koi, all of which were beautiful fish.
Being the only ones here, we were spoilt for choice of lakes.
The rain was awful with storms over 2 days but this was negated with a sunny French Friday.
Quiet spells of fishing at times offset with a double run of fantastic Grass Carp @ 22lb each. Now PB’s for some too.
Thank you for a very relaxing break from work and England.

Really lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. We had everything you could possibly need for two families and we all had a fantastic time.

We had a fantastic stay once again, this is our second visit here and would highly recommend.
Pascal and Amel are always very welcoming and helpful.
We caught a great range of fish ranging from 9lb to 51.9lb.
Catfish being the biggest at 51.9lb caught on a red pellet.
Biggest Carp 33.9lb.
Overall we caught approx 40 fish.
Great week, look forward to returning next year!
